The library is open for reference and consultaion to all members.It Provides asssiatance to users in locating information or assistance to their choice.

TEXT BOOK SERVICE :

The library acquires multiple copies for circulation and for reference within the library.This service has proved to be a great boon to the students.

LITERATURE SEARCH SERVICE :

Exhaustive Searches for published materials for the benefit of the students and research scholars are undertaken.

NEWS PAPER CLIPPING SERVICE :

The libraray has been taking out cuttings from various newspapers realting to important academic achievements and they are displayed in the libraray notice board regularly.

PROFICIENCY CELL :

A Special Proficiency cell has been functioning to cater to the needs the aspirants of all competitive examinations like UPSC,GMAT,IAS,TOEFL,SLET,NET and So on.A large number of members visit this section for preparing themselves for the forthcoming examinations;

CAREER GUIDANCE SERVICE :

The Library Provides career information on higher studies ,scholorship announcements, etc to students.In this connection the Library has purchased career directories,and subscribed a good number of periodicals like "Employment News" Employment and NRI times,"vaccancies for you ",etc

WEBLIOGRAPHIC SERVICE :

List of web documents are available on specific topics like educationa portals,jobsites,and so on are provided to the users, so that they can access the web documents.

QUESTION BANK :

Previous years question papers on the University examinations are also available for reference

PHOTOCOPYING SERVICE :

'The libarary provides photocopy facility to the users in the ground floor of the library biulding

EXTERNAL USERS :

Apart from the students and faculty of the college,several research scholars from other institutions with the permission of the principal are allowed to use the library resources.

PERIODICAL SERVICE :

The library receives 57 outstanding journals,newspapers and popular magazines that are prominently displayed in the reading room for the benefit of our students and staff members .The students and teachers mostly use this section for their study and research, and project works.

DEPARTMENTAL LIBRARIES :

The department of Computer Science,Electronic Science,Visual Communication,Microbiology,Biotechnology,Journalism,and History have their own libraries and each one is under the direct administrative control of the respective Heads of the Department.

2.Attended Workshop on IT and information Literacy for school libraries held on 05.01.2008 at Connemara Public Library,Chennai-8 conducted by Salis Chennai

3.Participated in National Seminar on "Emerging trends and Challenges in Library & information Services" organised by the AVM Sripuspam College,Poondi,Tanjore from 6-8 February 2008.

4.Participated in the One day Workshop on reservation and Conservation of information materials on 28th March 2008 organized by the Govt.Museum Manuscripts conservation center,Chennai and the Department of information science,University of Madras.

5.Participated in the National Conference on " changing Dimensions in Library Resources and Services in the Digital Era "held on 18-19 th April 2008 at SRM University
